RIGHT TO CULTURE AND RIGHT TO EDUCATION INTERACTING IN THE TEACHING/LEARNING PROCESS

Abstract
It can be said that culture and education are intrinsically linked phenomena and together they become socializing elements, capable of modifying the way of thinking of students and educators, when culture is adopted as an ally in the teaching-learning process. The objective of this study is to describe the importance that culture has in the teaching-learning process. This is a bibliographical, descriptive research with field sampling. In the field research, a semi-structured questionnaire was applied to a group of teachers from public schools in the city of Manaus with a significant sample. The results indicate that 78% of the teachers believe that culture plays a fundamental role in the teaching-learning process and 90% believe that culture builds new perspectives, new forms of behavior and respect, new perspectives in the teaching-learning process. About 60% of the teachers expressed insecurity about the methodologies to be adopted and 80% feel the need for a training course to better perform their role as teachers in the cultural approach in the pedagogical practices of fundamental education.
