Abstract
This article proposes an approach to the pandemic and the new challenges of the literacy teacher, taking into account aspects considered essential for literacy in times of a pandemic that redefined a new direction in the teacher's work, requiring new teaching strategies based on technology such as means of communication and the management of public policies involved in this context. This study is based on authors such as Carvalho, Soares, Freire, Rugerri and others. Aiming to promote a reflection on the teaching and learning processes in the literacy stage during the pandemic and the importance of preparing literacy teachers.
